Every entrant can enter multiple costumes for your specific category. There will be no limit of how many entries you can enter, but you will only be able to win one in that category. What qualifies you: Professional costume makers may not enter in the Muggle category. Though you may be newer to costuming, you have competed before and possibly have placed in either as Wizarding Student, or Muggle categories. Your skill set has no limits other than your craftsmanship and technique as a costume maker meaning you must make the decision for yourself to enter the appropriate category. This category is specifically designed for those who are not ready to enter into the Master Wizard Category. The costume can be made by you or someone else and will be judged at the highest level. The costume will be on exhibit at a designated hour and you will be required to be on your feet and be able to answer question for 30 minutes. If the costume was made for you, please give the recognition do to the person who made the costume. Are you up for the challenge?

Store-bought costumes are NOT PERMITTED! Your costume needs to be one you made or modified yourself. Modifications will be carefully assessed by our judges and must be at least 30% modified from original piece. This applies specifically to accessories and the body of the costume itself; footwear and jewelry don’t apply. We do, however, allow props to be commissioned by prop makers. If you have commissioned the costume you are to give the name of the Creator, if you are the creator are having your creation model you must list the name of your model. While we do allow for a few minor pre-made, pre-purchased items, we are looking for craftsmanship and creativity. We encourage you to  give credit to those fellow costumer and costume makers who assisted you during the construction of your costume entry. We would like to have a list of what materials were used to create the costume and how many hours spent creating it.

Note: Unfortunately, we will not have any repair kits on hand. You are responsible for your own costume and its integrity.
